This is a place for all nightmares. Silly or scary or anything else. They don't all have to be horrific, just anything that left you with a weird feeling. Write them up in the guestbook, anonymously or not, and be added to the collective bad nights rest. You can also leave nightmares or general comments in the chatbox below.
Part of this project is seeing similarities between nightmares. You know how we've all had the "Naked in Public" nightmare?. You can add tags for specifc themes in your nightmares for ease of searching, let me add them for you, or elect to not have tags at all. That way, similar nightmares can be easily seen by using the Control-F feature.
I will be documenting my own nightmares here under the name "site owner". I'm sure I will be the main contributor lol.
I've had nightmares, like everyone, for most of my life. It's funny to me that nightmares are even an option we have. Imagine reading that in a Sci-Fi novel. "This species is periodically tormented by their fears/past/imagination during their needed rest period." You'd think it was a cheap plot device to learn more about characters backstories or something. But they're real! And that's kind of beautiful.
Nightmares are graphic and absurd. Trying to explain them in person is often embarrassing. It's hard to say, yes, I woke up in a cold sweat cause a giant ant was in my refrigerator eating my childhood stuffed animals. What about it? It's also hard when you're nightmares are violent or legitimately disturbed. People might give you odd looks. As if you're trying to make them that way!
All this is to say there will be no judging dreams here. Please enjoying leaving or learning about our nightmares, just don't read before bed ;)
